Kapton / Polyimide Film Tape

Kapton®/Polyimide tapes are available in 1 or 2 mils thick, and are usually gold or amber in color, and are a transparent material. These tapes have an outstanding abrasion and tear resistance when temperatures are elevated (200◦C maximum temp). The Kapton®/Polyimide adhesive ‘thermosets’ as the tape is subjected to increased temperatures, resulting in an increased adhesion value.
