Clothing - Safety Apparel

Based on your particular type of industry, visibility mandates have been put in place by ANSI, or the American National Standards Institute, in regards to which class of visibility your safety apparel (primarily vests) must meet to satisfy ANSI. A quick explanation of each class is below:

  1. Class 1 vests have the lowest risk, must have a minimum of 155 square inches of reflective tape around the torso & over the shoulder, and be either safety yellow or orange in their vest color.
  2. Class 2 vests have a greater risk, but provide much more visibility. They must have 775 square inches of safety yellow or orange fabric, and a minimum of 201 square inches of reflective tape.
  3. Class 3 vests have the greatest risk for the most dangerous jobs. They must have 1,240 square inches of safety yellow or orange fabric, and a minimum of 301 square inches of reflective tape.

As you can see, there are a variety of classes, and here at Aactus, we have a great selection of all three classes of safety apparel (vests) at your choosing. Simply contact us today and we’ll get you covered!
