Dual Lock Reclosable Fasteners
3M™ Dual Lock™ Reclosable Fasteners are composed of a polypropylene material with high performance acrylic VHB adhesives. They have unique; tiny ‘mushroom-shaped’ stems that interlock with an audible ‘snap’, providing holding power 5 times that of a conventional hook & loop. Alignment is easy because the mushroom shaped stems will not engage with the mating side until you press them together and ‘lock’ them into place. They are easily separated and release when needed, providing a superior reclosable fastening solution.
These fasteners are cleverly engineered, which allows the standard 3M™ Dual Lock™ (SJ3550, SJ3551 and SJ3552) Series to be used with each other, increasing the holding power needed for the application. The VHB adhesive bonds very well to metals, glass, plastics and powder-coated surfaces. 3M™ Dual Lock™ products are used in a variety of applications and industries, such as: Automotive, General Industrial, Electronics, Military, Aerospace, Medical, Furniture, Exhibits, Point of Purchase, and Graphics/Signage. They are available in rolls, strips, as well as custom fabricated configurations.
